What does it mean to be compliant? The global apparel community, in its entirety, has taken significant strides towards the abolition of unfair working conditions and treatment of workers, as well as employment of under-age labour, over the last two decades.
The responsibility of a factory is not limited to the efficient production and timely delivery of high quality merchandies but also to ensure that all employees are treated with fairness and respect, in terms of all factors that govern their employ.
In our mind, the future looks bleak for those who choose to ignore such considerations. Especially since, vendors are pressured to comply with rules and regulations, mandating the adequate treatment of workers, by all major clients.
